Dr. Szatkowski completed his undergraduate training at Lake Forest College, in Lake Forest Illinois and went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of Illinois at Chicago. He holds memberships in the ADA (American Dental Association), CDS (Chicago Dental Society), AGD (Academy of General Dentistry), ISDS (Illinois State Dental Society). Dr. Szatkowski has always been a familiar face at Eagle Falls Dentistry Essentials. He accompanied his father Dr. Frank R. Szatkowski to the office on many occasions and learned at an early age he wanted to become a dentist. Dr. Szatkowski strives to provide his patients with the latest technology in dental care while maintaining a non-aggressive approach .He enjoys spending most of his free time playing handball, fishing, Enjoys fishing trips to Canada & Mexico and enjoying the outdoors with his daughters and wife. He is 2012 National Open Doubles Handball Champion.
Dr. Lisa Vihnanek completed her undergraduate education at Illinois State University. In 2002, she graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago Dental School with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She then completed a one year residency at Illinois Masonic Hospital. Dr. Vihnanek consistently strives to enhance her skills and knowledge. Recently she completed almost 5 times the required hours of continuing education to offer our patients the most up-to-date dental care available. Dr. Vihnanek participates in the Spear Faculty Club and Seattle Study Club working with other dentists and specialists in bringing the most comprehensive dental treatment to patients in one practice. One of the highlights of her career was volunteering for a mission trip to provide dental care and hygiene education in Panama. Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Dr. Vihnanek has an affinity for her home town. She enjoys participating in marathons and triathlons having completed the Ironman competition in 2007. Dr. Vihnanek also enjoys traveling and spending time with her nieces and nephew.
Over the past 30 years, Dr. Ladesic has developed a reputation as one of the top dental health professionals in the Midwest. He completed his undergraduate education at Northern Illinois University and then received his doctor of dental surgery degree from Loyola University in Maywood, Illinois. He is presently pursuing a Master’s degree in medical illustration at University of Illinois Chicago. He then spent eight years in the United States Navy Dental Corps where he served in various land-based and shipboard settings including Great Lakes Naval Hospital, where he instructed and trained new doctors.
Among his many areas of the continuing education he has trained at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies(LVI) regularly for over 15 years. Among his professional affiliations are the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics, International Academy of Physiologic Aesthetics, American Academy of Pain Management, and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.
Dr. Ladesic’s philosophy of care is to ensure that his patients receive more than just a beautiful smile. His goal is to treat each patient like family and improve the overall health of his patients by addressing such neuromuscular issues as bite alignment, posture, snoring and sleep apnea.
When he is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandson. He is very involved with church activities and enjoys gourmet cooking and producing fine art, especially watercolor paintings.
Dr. Kailee has completed her studies at Midwestern University, College of Dental Medicine, receiving her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Hagerty also holds a Master’s degree in Neuroscience and Physiology from Wright State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Dayton. As a part of her Dental school education, Dr. Hagerty performed Clinical Externships at: The Ruth Rothstein CORE Center in Chicago, Loyola OMFS in Maywood, John Stroger Hospital in Chicago and DuPage County Health Department in Wheaton. Dr. Hagerty’s externships and comprehensive clinical care have allowed her to become proficient in all aspects of Oral Healthcare, including Surgical Procedures which she enjoys and excels at. Dr. Hagerty is originally from the Dayton Ohio area, and currently lives in Chicago (Logan Square). She says that she loves the rural area where she grew up, but now truly appreciates and enjoys everything that big city life has to offer. Dr. Hagerty, similar to our own Dr. Szat, grew up in a home full of Dentists, knew at a very young age that her calling was to be a Dentist, and has never looked back!
Dr. Brenda completed her Undergraduate degree at University of South Carolina. She then moved to the Chicagoland area to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Midwestern University. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society. Brenda is committed to furthering her dental education, having completed courses in Implant dentistry, Invisalign, and oral surgery. With an infinite passion for her patients, Dr. Brenda is committed to striving for the best dental experience and treatment possible. Dr. Brenda also speaks Spanish fluently! Originally from Virginia, Dr. Brenda loves to cook, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
Dr. Steven Yuan was born in New Jersey some 50 years ago, to immigrant parents, here doing their post graduate studies. Dr. Steve is a second generation dentist who grew up in the western suburbs watching his dad, Dr. Leon Yuan, teach Biochem, then attend dental school, start his own office and teach dental crown and bridge as an instructor. As a youth, Dr. Steve spent many hours helping out around his dad’s dental office. After winning the Illinois high school state pommel horse championship, he went on a gymnastics scholarship to the University of Michigan. Where, he captained the team his junior year before leaving early to attend the Loyola University Dental school in Maywood. After graduating, Dr. Steve has done extra training in endodontic, orthodontic, Invisalign, implant, and temporal mandibular dysfuntion treatments. He is a perfectionist and never stops evaluating and considering what is best for the patient. Personally, he has been blissfully married for over 20 years, has four of his own girls, and have cared for a girl from Haiti with CP for 7 years and . He volunteers at Easter Seals, at the United Cerebral Palsey, coaching his girls, and at church. The entire family really loves God, each other, their church family and also playing music and sports; including accordian, flute, violin, piano, cello, guitar, tennis, softball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, ping pong, ultimate frisbee, hockey, bowling, and golf. His wife is a breast cancer survivor of over 5 years and his one daughter has had ITP. They love Orlando because of the many years visiting grandpa and grandma, who had lived down there in the winters. After merging his 10 year old practice (that he had taken over from Dr. Binkley) into Dr. Szatkowski’s 40 year old practice, some almost 3 years ago, he is so appreciative of working and growing along side the great group of people at Eagle Falls.
